About Gary Robert Fine
Gary Robert Fine is a Trial Lawyer who has
fought truth to power for decades. As a 24-year-old Legal Aid lawyer, he
battled for access to Family Courts by poverty-stricken citizens who
could not afford court costs to merely file for a divorce. He succeeded
by compelling regressive rural courts in Pennsylvania to accept divorce
filings regardless of a lack of financial ability to pay those fees.
He also filed a Class Action on behalf of Public Housing tenants to prevent the government from arbitrarily evicting anyone they thought could be a "trouble-maker," that is asserting their civil rights.
Gary is from a first-generation immigrant family that has always been politically active. From his grandmother who rolled cigars in a Union Shop founded by Samuel Gompers in the early 1900's thru his mother who was a committee-woman in Philadelphia he was surrounded by politics. Gary has been active from the age of 12 when he was handing out leaflets for Mayor James H.J. Tate of Philadelphia until now. He became an FEC treasurer at the age of 28 for Congressman Bailey in Western Pennsylvania and was involved in over 25 political campaigns both local and national. After becoming law partners with Hugh Rodham, Hillary Clinton's brother, he was the campaign treasurer for Rodham's Senate run. Gary went on to speak for President Clinton in Pennsylvania and later assisted Hillary Clinton's campaign in Southwest Pennsylvania.
His legal representation in many jury trials lent experience to his consumer class actions against corporations and the Tobacco Wars.
Gary was raised in Philadelphia and lived across the Commonwealth. He now resides with his family in Florida.
